Education and Background
Born and raised in Reno, Kendra attended the University of Nevada, Reno for her undergraduate education. Kendra then went to the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for law degree. Upon graduation, Kendra completed an Americorps Fellowship at Nevada Legal Services providing legal services to socioeconomically disadvantaged populations in Las Vegas.
Professional Experience and Leadership
Kendra then had the opportunity to return to Reno to clerk for the Honorable Judge Egan Walker on the Second Judicial District Court. During her nearly two-year clerkship, Kendra had the unique opportunity to clerk for Judge Walker when he served as a judge in the Family Division and after his appointment as a General Jurisdiction judge as well. Although her practice now primarily focuses on civil litigation, Kendra’s experience in public interest litigation and family law assist her in advocating on behalf of her clients.
Kendra is incredibly active in the local community. She sits on the Board of the Nevada Women’s fund, she volunteers monthly at the Washoe County Lawyer in the Library program, she also serves as a pro bono attorney for the Children’s Attorney Project to ensure children in the foster care system have a voice in legal proceedings.
